Dubai Police recover sunken watch to tourist

The Dubai Police Maritime Rescue Department returned a precious wristwatch to a tourist after it had plunged into the sea while he was in a beachfront restaurant at the Palm Jumeirah Island.
Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, Director of Sea Rescue Department in Dubai Police, said they were alerted on last Friday, about a pricey wristwatch plunging into the sea at Palm Jumeirah.
"We reached the place after receiving the call. A Frogman team of Maritime Rescue Department went underwater to search the wristwatch. In record time, our team succeeded in finding the wristwatch and returning it back to the tourist,” Al Naqbi said.
Al Naqbi said Dubai Police rescue team acted within the force’s framework of ensuring the happiness of the individuals and under the directives of Colonel Saeed Al Madhani, Deputy Director of Ports Police Station.
The tourist was extremely happy and expressed his thanks to Dubai Police for the speedy action of returning his valuable wristwatch.
