Dubai Police employees receive DH2m in social assistance

His Excellency Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-chief of Dubai Police, has affirmed that meeting the needs of the force’s employees, particularly social welfare and social services, is essential for the provision of high-quality services thus ensuring the safety and security of the society.
These remarks were made by Dubai Police Commander-in-chief as he approved 211 cash assistance requisitions of the Dubai Police Social Solidarity Fund totalling AED 2 million.
The cash assistance included; AED 1,250,000 (million and two hundred and fifty thousand) for tuition fees and AED 750,000 (seven hundred thousand) for housing fees.
"Dubai Police constantly strive to ensure the satisfaction and happiness of its employees and provide them with an ideal environment for creation and innovation. It also provides employees and their families with all elements of comfort and psychological calm so they can provide good quality customer service and delight the customers", Al-Marri said, explaining the priorities of the command.
Al Marri stressed the keenness of the Dubai Police General Command to instilling an identity that seeks happiness to all employees, in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to lessen the burden on employees and promote the principle of institutional cooperation thus raising the overall level of job satisfaction.
From his part, Major General PhD. Abdul Quddus Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Assistant Commander-in-chief for Excellence and Pioneering at the Dubai Police, said Dubai Police have always been keen to maximize the happiness rate of its employees.
“We are committed to HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum overarching mission of achieving the happiness of our people, because we believe in his words that ‘It is necessary to ensure employees’ happiness in order that they, in turn, can bring happiness to others.’” Al Obaidly said.
Al Obaidly explained that Dubai Police always endeavour to achieve happiness through several initiatives and various programmes, according to the directives of H.E Lt. General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and H.E Maj-Gen. Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police and Dubai Police Assistant Commandants.
Dubai Police Social Solidarity Fund
The Dubai Police Social Solidarity Fund was founded in 1989 for the employees of the command with the aim of ensuring their happiness, psychological and social stability.
In addition, the Dubai Police Social Solidarity Fund aids employees and provide them with humanitarian assistance in the event of crises and emergency circumstances, such as fire and medical expenses.
The Dubai Police Social Solidarity Fund has carried out several initiatives including providing assistance to the children of determination by paying off their tuition fees, in order to integrate them into society.
