Dubai Police distribute 30,000 Iftar Meals to motorists

Fasting motorists have been given Iftar meals as part of the General Department of Human Rights at Dubai Police's corporate social responsibility programme in collaboration with late Obaid Al Helou's family, during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

As per directives of Brigadier Muhammad Abdullah Al Mur, Director of Human Rights of Dubai Police; initiative team members have been distributing Iftar meals during the holy month. Donated by Al Helou’s 30,000 meals are given to motorists on the emirate roads in an attempt to improve safety on the roads during Ramadan.

The Iftar project, reflecting the noble values of Islam and solidarity of all the UAE society in the holy month of Ramadan, is in line with the force's vision to reduce accidents during the rush hour of Ramadan as many motorists tend to rush so they can reach their homes in time of iftar (breaking the fast).
